Raúl Castro y líderes; condolencias a Lula da Silva por fallecimiento de su esposa

El Presidente cubano Raúl Castro Ruz envió a Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva y su familia un mensaje de «afectuosa solidaridad y sentidas condolencias» por la partida física de la exprimera dama del gigante sudamericano, Marisa Leticia Bocco.

«Puedo comprender como te sientes. Recibe, en nombre del pueblo, del Gobierno de Cuba y en el mío propio, nuestra afectuosa solidaridad y sentidas condolencias, que hago extensivas a la familia», afirmó Raúl al exmandatario en su misiva.

Cuban President Raul Castro on Wednesday warned that U.S. should not expect Cuba to "make concessions inherent to its independence and sovereignty" as both nations pursue a fragile effort to normalize bilateral relations.

"Cuba and the United States can cooperate and live side by side in a civilized manner, respecting our differences and promoting all that is of benefit for both countries and people," Castro said during a summit of Latin American and Caribbean leaders, as reported by Reuters and The Hill.
